Super Nova of The Month: Rosalind Messer
Congratulations to Rosalind Messer,
Our May 2026 SuperNova!

Rosalind has been an inspiring presence at Nova, showing up twice a week since 2018 and making her health a priority next to work and family.
This past year brought some new challenges, including a broken toe and a frozen shoulder. With the support of her Nova coaches, she adapted her training to focus on rehabilitation and recovery. Her commitment to continuing despite her limitations, played a huge role in her ability to heal faster and come back stronger.
Now post-recovery, Rosalind has shifted her focus toward building full body strength again, and the results are already showing. Rosalind works with Coach Courtney, who has created a strength program tailored exactly to what Rosalind needs.
We’re proud of you Rosalind! Your mindset and drive is what being Supernova is all about - and your journey continues to inspire everyone around you.
If you see Rosalind in the club, be sure to congratulate her!

Mindset & Motivation
What are obstacles in your life that sometimes get in the way of your momentum or that you are aware of potentially getting in the way?
"The frozen shoulder was an unavoidable obstacle. I'm pleased that I carried on exercising throughout with a modified rehab program. It has meant that now the shoulder is back to normal that I'm able to easily pivot to a strength training program."
Training & Progress
What does your current training and activity routine look like and why does this routine work for you?
"I have been consistently attending Nova twice a week for several years. I do better when I have committed to a program - now Nova is part of my regular routine."
What recent health, strength or fitness accomplishment are you most proud of and WHY?
"This past year I had both a broken toe and a frozen shoulder. All the coaches at Nova have been extremely supportive and amended my routine to one based on rehab. Continuing to attend the gym even though I had mobility issues and proactively focusing on rehab, led to a faster recovery and encouraged me to continue to prioritize my health and wellness."

Lifestyle Changes & Challenges
What specific routines and habits do you think have contributed the most to your success? For example, is there a specific nutrition, recovery or stress management plan that you feel has worked for you?
"I've decided to focus on building strength post recovery. I've been really pleased with the results so far and coach Courtney has been super - her background in power lifting has been very useful. I'm also committed to 10,000 steps a day and, together with the rest of the family, eating a Mediterranean style diet for most of the week."

Future Focus
How has sticking to your health and fitness plan benefited your life? For example, has being more healthy or more fit allowed you to do new things that you could not before or has it positively impacted the lives of others you care about?
"I believe my base level of fitness allowed me to recover more quickly from injury. In addition, my energy levels are better than my pre-Nova days."
What does success in health fitness look like for you going forward?
"I'm a big believer in the Blue Zone principles. So, staying strong and active, eating well, living with purpose with strong relationships with family and friends."
